Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas – Road to the Blues

In the video Dave Thomas – Road to the Blues, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about silly Canadian content laws, the pair transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The pair soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
