In the video Dave Thomas tryin to get live, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about legal Canadian content statutes, the duo morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The pair went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
