Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas – Waking Dream

In the video Dave Thomas – Waking Dream, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a program which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh at silly Canadian content statutes, the siblings morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
