Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas – Waking Dream

In the video Dave Thomas – Waking Dream, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and mock dumb Canadian content legislation, the duo grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
