Bob and Doug McKenzie in Dave Thomas was awesome!

In the video Dave Thomas was awesome!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob is created by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as filler to both fulfill and mock silly Canadian content demands, the brothers transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The characters enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
