In the video Design for Cognitive Bias | David Dylan Thomas | Think Company, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as an idea to both fulfill and make fun of network Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The two soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
