In the video Detroit’s 12 Days of Christmas by. The Twisted parody group, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob’s part is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of stupid Canadian content statutes, the characters grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The pair went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
