In the video Devotions from History 3/25 Dave Thomas Voted “Most Likely to Succeed”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s part is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock legal Canadian content laws, the siblings transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The pair became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
