Bob and Doug McKenzie in Disney Compendium Vol. 44: Brother Bear

In the video Disney Compendium Vol. 44: Brother Bear, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of fictional Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is brought to life by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as filler to both satisfy and mock legal Canadian content rules, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
