In the video Disney DVD Collection – “Rick Moranis” in 3 “Honey” Movies Trilogy Collection, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hilarious Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s character is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content rules, the two became a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The characters enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
