In the video Do I Have To Be Drunk To Find This Funny? – Review of Strange Brew, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a joke to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content policies, the pair became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The two enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
