In the video Don diablo ft Dave thomas jr – silence (empo awards 2016), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian comedians who can been seen in “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a joke to both please and laugh about legal Canadian content guidelines, the brothers morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The characters became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
