The character Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is created by actor Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content rules, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border.
