Bob and Doug McKenzie in Don’t Kill Bugs! (7/02-14)

In the video Don’t Kill Bugs! (7/02-14), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and make fun of stupid Canadian content rules, the two transformed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The characters soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
