In the video Doug McKenzie Stealing John Mayer’s Watch, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a improv which was shown on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s part is played by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh about non sensical Canadian content legislation, the two turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
