The character Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh at annoying Canadian content laws, the pair transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA.
