In the video Drawing Time Lapse 9 – Rick Moranis as Louis Tully/The Keymaster from Ghostbusters (1984), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as fluff to both please and laugh at dumb Canadian content legislation, the pair morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
