Bob and Doug McKenzie in Drunk Canadian National Antherm

In the video Drunk Canadian National Antherm, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was streamed on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s character is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as an idea to both satisfy and mock non sensical Canadian content rules, the duo turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The characters went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
