Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as fluff to both satisfy and mock network Canadian content legislation, the duo transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The two soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
