Bob and Doug McKenzie in Elixir Conf 2014 – Speaker Panel

In the video Elixir Conf 2014 – Speaker Panel, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as fluff to both please and make fun of silly Canadian content rules, the siblings turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The two later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
