In the video Episode 226: Really Don’t Know , Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of strange Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in . Bob is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both please and laugh about annoying Canadian content legislation, the brothers turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
