Bob and Doug McKenzie in Episode #49

In the video Episode #49, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob’s character is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by Dave Thomas. Despite born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of network Canadian content rules, the two morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The pair enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
