Bob and Doug McKenzie in Episode 62: Christmas Songs

In the video Episode 62: Christmas Songs, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian siblings who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it aired by CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a skit to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The two later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
