In the video Ernie Hudson talks Rick Moranis’ absence in recent Ghostbusters sequels: “I’d love to see him back”, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of hilarious Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is acted by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as filler to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content rules, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The pair soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

while both Ghostbusters afterlife and
the recent sequel Frozen Empire would
reunite the majority of the franchise’s
original cast one noticeable holdout has
been the bumbling key master leis Tully
played by Rick Moranis and in promotion
for the digital release of Ghostbusters
Frozen Empire Ernie Hudson sat down with
screen Rand and was asked about Moran’s
continued absence from the franchise
Hudson would make it clear that before
Ivan wrightman’s death the director had
spent a lot of time trying to get
Moranis to return yeah because Rick is
such an important part of the success of
all this I think everybody understands
that and agrees with that I don’t know
why I haven’t had a personal
conversation I talked to Ivan wman
before he transitioned who I know had
spent a lot of time trying to convince
Rick I know that the other guys have
talked to him and I’m not sure why he
just said no Hudson would continue
making it clear that Mor his reasoning
is not Financial adding that he’d love
to see him return to Ghostbusters and
acting in general I know they offered
him more money than they offered me and
if I thought going to his house would
make a difference I’d be there because
I’d love to see him and not just in
Ghostbusters but I just think he’s an
amazing talent I would love to see him
working but obviously it was a personal
choice maybe if they did a country
western album or something but I don’t
know I’d love to see him back if there
was any possible way you know while
typically staying out of the prep back
in 2016 mirand spoke about a cameo that
he had been offered in the Paul fig
directed Ghostbusters reboot a role that
he unsurprisingly declined saying I hope
it’s terrific but it just makes no sense
to me why would I do just one day of
shooting on something I did 30 years ago
now not that I should have to ask but
who out there would love to see Rick

If he doesn’t want it. I accept that as much as I’d over to see it.
This is how you know there IS a directors cut of Frozen Empire even though THE DIRECTOR said there IS NOT! He said they never had a spot for Rick in the movie and Ernie counters that with this statement.
Until I went and saw Afterlife, I was really holding out for hope that they were going to reveal that the kids were Tully's grandkids.
I dont think it's necessary. He played his part. As a quick cameo or something it would be cool, but nothing too big
