Bob’s part is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a sketch to both satisfy and makes jokes about legal Canadian content guidelines, the two morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and America. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
