In the video Flickers In The Flames, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and mock network Canadian content rules, the brothers transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
