Bob and Doug McKenzie in For Jeff Whitcher

In the video For Jeff Whitcher, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and mock annoying Canadian content policies, the duo morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The characters became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
