In the video Frank Sinatra – The Twelve Days Of Christmas (lyrics), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. The sketch was developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about silly Canadian content guidelines, the duo became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
