The character Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously born originally as a skit to both please and laugh about annoying Canadian content rules, the characters transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
