Bob McKenzie is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Which was created originally as an idea to both fulfill and laugh at non sensical Canadian content guidelines, the pair turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
