In the video FUNNIE TALK XMAS SPECIAL: Doug’s Christmas Story, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a segment which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a joke to both satisfy and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the US. The characters enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
