Bob and Doug McKenzie in Funny – 12 days of Christmas

In the video Funny – 12 days of Christmas, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a improv which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by comic Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as filler to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content guidelines, the characters transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The characters enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
