Bob and Doug McKenzie in Geddy Lee behind the counter at the local Wendy’s

In the video Geddy Lee behind the counter at the local Wendy’s, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was created originally as a sketch to both fulfill and laugh about stupid Canadian content statutes, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
