Bob and Doug McKenzie in Getting Christmas Ideas!

In the video Getting Christmas Ideas!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is created by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh at silly Canadian content statutes, the pair became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The characters soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
