Bob and Doug McKenzie in GHOSTBUSTERS

In the video GHOSTBUSTERS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian brothers who can been seen in “Great White North”, a sketch which was featured on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is performed by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is created by comic Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content legislation, the two transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie siblings went on to become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
