Bob and Doug McKenzie in GHOSTBUSTERS: RICK MORANIS AS LOUIS

In the video GHOSTBUSTERS: RICK MORANIS AS LOUIS, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as fluff to both please and make fun of non sensical Canadian content demands, the two became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
