In the video ‘Ghostbusters’ Star Rick Moranis Assaulted in Manhattan; Attack Caught on Camera, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it streamed by CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s part is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and laugh at annoying Canadian content laws, the characters grew up to be a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
