In the video GRAVEDALE HIGH Episode 4 MONSTER GUMBO Staring Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it streamed by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s character is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Despite made originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content policies, the characters transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The two soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
