Bob and Doug McKenzie in Gravedale High

In the video Gravedale High, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hysterical Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s character is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by comic Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and mock dumb Canadian content statutes, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The pair soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
