Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as filler to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content demands, the characters grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The pair later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
