Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great White North #15

In the video Great White North #15, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of fictional Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob McKenzie is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is played by actor Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a joke to both satisfy and mock stupid Canadian content guidelines, the siblings became a pop culture success in both Canada and the USA. The pair became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
