Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great White North – 2017 Nova Video

In the video Great White North – 2017 Nova Video, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a skit which was streamed on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s part is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about dumb Canadian content demands, the duo turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
