In the video Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of fictional Canadian brothers who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was featured on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob’s character is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was brought to life originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and mock silly Canadian content guidelines, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
