Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great White North by Carpio

In the video Great White North by Carpio, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was shown on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a sketch to both fulfill and mock network Canadian content policies, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The pair became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
