The CRTC didn’t get the joke. The government is still trying, decades later, to control what Canadians watch. Now they intend to control the internet, just like China and North Korea. Take off, eh!
1:40 Is he saying what I think he's saying?
I remember I used to go to Shea High School back in 1982 when I was a teenager that show the great white North I used to like the song all the soundtrack that goes with it
I love the disclaimers at the end.
Dave Thomas' Buffalo Sabres cap (logo hidden to preserve Canadian content).
Koo oo kookoo, Koo oo kookoo….
First podcast
Tv suck this off
50 years after it aired I’m laughing out of my chair. That’s comedy eh?
Love seeing these hosers!
This can qualify for the new 'enforced canadian content' propaganda under trudeau- just play Dougs Earmuffs on repeat
CBC: Could you give us something more Canadian for the extra 2 minutes?
SCTV: You want something "more Canadian" eh? We'll show you "more Canadian" you hosers.
Canadian corner hahah
Note to Canadian Broadcasting: Do not ever tell geniuses such as Rick Moranis and DaveThomas (or SCTV in general) that they are doing too much "American humor" and not enough "Canadian humor".
Back bacon is pink gold
Beauty, eh
Yes!!!!
Funny thinking they don't even get to a topic in this one at all.
Somehow I find myself running this on repeat! It just works!
The story I heard about the Great White North. the Canadian government-since SCTV was a Canadian show- told the people behind the show that SCTV had to have some Canadian content. They came up with this & told these guys to just wing it. This show is noting but a couple of hosers goofing off & doing a great job.
I once went dressed as Bob McKenzie and my friend as Doug for Halloween when we were 11 in 1983, we were a hit!!
If you wanted Canadian content, maybe you should have done something like "The Greatest Canadian Hero," or "Canadian Bandstand."
who thumbs down it eh? take off eh
All of the annoying Canadian stereotypes only became popular because of these two hose heads.
A stack of dozens of stubbies. What a great time to be alive!
Handy to have a bottle opener in your shirt pocket LOL!
Love it eh!
Good Day Aye
And I'm responding to the comment. Still uncalled for.
