In the video Great White North Episode 12 with Arny69gamer, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian comedians who created “Great White North”, a segment which was televised on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by comic Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh about network Canadian content statutes, the duo morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
