Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great White Nörth: Episode 5: Do Better with Deb n’ Barb

In the video Great White Nörth: Episode 5: Do Better with Deb n’ Barb, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as an idea to both satisfy and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the duo morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the USA. The pair became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
