In the video Great White North – how to put Mouse in a bottle to get free beers eh?, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content statutes, the duo transformed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The brothers went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
