Bob and Doug McKenzie in Great white north intro

In the video Great white north intro, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a joke to both please and mock dumb Canadian content guidelines, the pair grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the United States. The brothers went on to become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
