In the video Great White North, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a improv which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously created originally as an idea to both please and laugh at network Canadian content legislation, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The pair soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
We travel again in our canoe to a geocache titled ‘Great White North’. Lyriclass chimes in with the SCTV tune for Bob and Doug McKenzie’s sone, the Great White North. Just a nice short outing to a remote geocache on Lake Nippissing’s western end.
